Launching dynamic captions with VEED

TL;DR

Starting today, captions in Polished are rendered by VEED Subtitles:

  • 28 style presets. Animated word-by-word reveals, progressive text, kinetic typography — designed for short-form social video.
  • Better rendering across languages. Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, and 50+ other languages render correctly with proper fonts, text direction, and line breaks.
  • Drop-in upgrade. Same workflow — generate a video, ask for captions, done. The rendering is just better now.

Dynamic captions for every ad

Captions help your short-form videos land. We wanted them to look native to the platforms you're publishing on — animated, well-timed, easy to read.

VEED powers captions across millions of videos for over a million creators. Their presets are the same ones you see on creator content across TikTok and Reels — they've been iterating on what looks native to those platforms for years. Now that rendering engine powers every captioned video on Polished.

28 presets, built for social

Each preset is designed for a specific use case:

  • Clean and professional (simple, plain, corpo, casper, capri, lowkey, mint, karl) — product demos, explainers, DTC brands. Legible and understated.
  • Social native (glass, boo, glide, glide2, fusion, beans, flex, rizz, sprout) — the creator look. Animated highlights and progressive reveal, built for TikTok and Reels.
  • High energy (slay, kitty, hustle, ali, vegas, diego, vinta, shadeplay) — bold and loud. Great for ads where you need to grab attention fast.
  • Specialty (terminal, whisper, handwritten) — distinctive aesthetics for when you want something different.

You can request any preset by name for the agent to use.

Language support across scripts

Arabic renders right-to-left. Chinese and Japanese break lines correctly. Hindi conjuncts display properly. Getting non-Latin scripts right in burned-in captions requires careful font handling — VEED's rendering handles it natively.

If you're running ads in multiple markets, this means captions work correctly regardless of language — no manual QA on text direction or missing glyphs.
