Privacy Policy

Polished Ads (“Polished,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a marketplace that connects advertisers with creatives who produce ad content. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use our website, platform, and services (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

Information you provide

• Account information — name, email address, and password when you create an account (managed via our authentication provider, Clerk).
• Profile information — bio, portfolio links, company name, brand assets, and other details you add to your profile.
• Payment information — billing details and payout information processed through Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
• Content you submit — videos, images, creative briefs, bounty descriptions, and messages exchanged through the platform.
• Communications — emails, support requests, and feedback you send us.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — pages visited, features used, timestamps, referring URLs, and interactions with the Service.
• Device information — browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and IP address.
• Cookies and similar technologies — we use cookies for authentication, preferences, and analytics. See “Cookies” below.

Information from third parties

• Meta (Facebook) — when you connect an ad account, we receive ad account IDs, campaign performance data (impressions, spend, clicks), and related metrics via the Meta Marketing API.
• Stripe — payment status, payout history, and account verification details for connected accounts.
• Authentication providers — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and improve the Service, including matching creatives with bounties and deploying ads.
• Process payments, calculate performance-based earnings, and facilitate payouts.
• Track ad performance metrics from Meta to calculate creative earnings and provide analytics dashboards.
• Send transactional communications (submission updates, payment confirmations, bounty notifications).
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
• Analyze usage patterns to improve our product and user experience.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We share information in these circumstances:

• Between marketplace participants — creatives can see bounty details posted by advertisers. Advertisers can see creative profiles and submissions. We aim to share only what’s necessary for the marketplace to function.
• Service providers — we use third-party services to operate the platform (hosting, authentication, payments, analytics, email). These providers access information only as needed to perform their services.
• Meta — we upload ad creative to advertisers’ connected Meta ad accounts as part of the core service.
• Legal requirements — we may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it’s required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
• Business transfers — if Polished is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We’d notify you beforehand if your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, storing preferences, and understanding how the Service is used. Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect your ability to use parts of the Service.

We use:

• Essential cookies — required for authentication and core functionality.
• Analytics cookies — help us understand usage patterns (e.g., PostHog). These can be disabled.

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we’ll remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we need to retain it for legal or financial record-keeping (e.g., payment records, which we may retain for up to 7 years as required by tax and financial regulations).

Submitted content (videos, ads) that has been deployed to an advertiser’s ad account will remain in their Meta account after deletion, as we no longer control that copy.

If you connected a Meta ad account and later remove the Polished Ads app from your Facebook Apps and Websites settings, you can request that we delete all Meta-related data we store. When you click “Send Request,” Facebook notifies us and we automatically delete your stored Meta access tokens, ad account connections, and any cached performance data tied to your Facebook user ID.

You’ll receive a confirmation code to track the status of your request on our data deletion status page. Requests are typically processed immediately. For questions, contact us at privacy@polished.ads.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Opt out of certain data processing.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@polished.ads. We’ll respond within 30 days.

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. That said, no system is perfectly secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If we learn we’ve collected information from someone under 18, we’ll delete it.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws than your own. By using the Service, you consent to these transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll post the updated version here and update the “Last updated” date. For significant changes, we’ll try to notify you via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
